Ready to Fight for Your Rights and Future
Primarily focusing his practice on the defense of those facing criminal charges in state and federal courts, Attorney Jarrett L. McCormack has both the experience and skill to aggressively represent his clients in court. Many of Jarrett’s clients are current or former military members, often times with a security clearance at stake depending on the outcome of the criminal case. This experience, combined with the firm's keen ability to represent our clients when their command initiates legal or non-judicial punishment, provides our clients with a solid legal team.
His reputation over the years has been forged from his hard-nosed, analytical style in the courtroom, and his clients have come to view him as a “bulldog” and a “pitbull” in the courtroom. Whether the case calls for a knock-down, drag-out contested trial, or a more analytical approach, Jarrett will handle the case in the manner which best sets his clients up for success.
Currently, Jarrett is licensed to practice law in:
- All state courts throughout Commonwealth of Virginia
- The Eastern District of Virginia Federal Courts
- All military trial and appellate courts
Jarrett McCormack has the experience and knowledge of all Hampton Roads Juvenile and Domestic Relations, General District and Circuit courts, as well as the Eastern District of Virginia Federal courts and their procedures to best represent you. Additionally, Jarrett has handled criminal matters throughout Virginia, from Northern Virginia to the Western reaches of the state, and many counties in between.
Prior to joining McCormack & McCormack, Jarrett attended and graduated from Old Dominion University. Following the completion of his undergraduate coursework, he obtained his law degree from the Western New England University School of Law. While attending school, he worked in a law clerk capacity for the Law Firm of Greg D. McCormack for ten years prior to becoming licensed by the Virginia State Bar, assisting with the preparation of numerous courts-martial and civilian criminal cases for trial.
In addition, during law school, Jarrett served as an intern with the U.S. Navy JAG Corps, during which time he actively assisted both the Legal Assistance and Defense departments at NLSO MIDLANT in Norfolk, VA.
